I was especially happy about this invitation: an exclusive evening with lace jewellery in Fulda! As goldsmiths, my parents took over the jewellery business of Juwelier Bott, which my grandfather Emil Bott founded in 1947 in Fulda as a watchmaker.
Today, the fate of the family business is directed by my brother Christian Adolph. Together with his team, he had invited all interested customers to a top event in a newly opened café.
What a nice reunion! In my parents’ business, of course, I know a lot of faces and associate nice memories with them. For the evening with customers or friends, however, we went only a few meters away to the newly opened Café by Heiko Reinholz.
The Fuldaer has found his vocation with his love for coffee and sells supraregionally fair traded and refined coffee. In addition to the black gold, of course, my lace jewellery was in the limelight and I was pleased to answer questions about my design and the creative process. Why did that lace pattern attract my attention, and what style of clothing can you wear with it?
In a relaxed atmosphere people talked, laughed and tried on jewellery from rings to ear jewellery to necklaces. It is always nice to see that others have a lot of fun with my creations (photos: Carina Jirsch).
